From 1 January 2022, authors affiliated with institutions that are participating in Wiley’s National Research Council of Science and Technology (NST) agreement may publish in Wiley’s journals which offer open access, with no transactional Article Publication Charges (APC).
You can be confident that by choosing open access your work has the best chance to be read, cited and shared. Author(s) also retain the copyright through CC license. Read more about the advantages of publishing open access here.
1Eligibility is subject to when the institution has formalized their participation in the agreement. If you are no longer affiliated with an eligible NST member institution at the point of acceptance of your paper in a hybrid journal or submission to fully open access titles, you do not qualify.

3Fully open access journals are included in this agreement from 2023 onwards.
4From 2024 onwards, authors whose articles were accepted for publication in hybrid journals from 1 January 2022, are of eligible type and have already published but had opted out of open access publishing previously, can now choose to flip these eligible articles to open access under NST’s agreement as well. Please approach your institution’s OA administrators for more information.
5Please note that funding is dependent on your institution approving your funding request and availability of sufficient funds or article allocations when the article is editorially accepted and once an OA license has been signed. If a funding request has been approved but funds/article allocations are no longer available when an article has been editorially accepted and an OA license has been signed, the author will receive an email telling them that their funding request has been denied due to funding exhaustion unless other funding arrangements for their institution are in place.
